Dental Trauma Right Now? Don't Wait.
Call 020 8455 0465A dentist answers directly — 24 hours a day. Emergency trauma appointments from £35.
The London Dental Trauma Centre at Emergency Dental Experts in Golders Green is the capital's leading 24-hour facility dedicated to treating dental injuries. From a knocked-out front tooth after a bicycle accident to a chipped molar from a fall, our GDC-registered emergency dentists are on-site and ready to treat you — day or night, 365 days a year.
Dental trauma is time-sensitive. The first 30 to 60 minutes after an injury — known as the "golden hour" — often determine whether a tooth can be saved. That's why we never close, never require registration, and always have a senior dentist available to see you immediately.

Dental Trauma Cases We Treat 24/7
Our trauma team treats the full spectrum of dental injuries. If your case isn't listed below, call us — we will see you.
Avulsed (Knocked-Out) Tooth
Complete displacement of a tooth from its socket. Re-implantation within 30 minutes gives the best outcome. Keep the tooth in milk or saliva and call us immediately.
Luxation Injuries
Tooth pushed sideways, into or out of the socket. Includes intrusive, extrusive and lateral luxation. Treated with repositioning and flexible splinting.
Chipped Tooth
Small to large enamel chips repaired same-day with composite bonding — colour-matched to your natural tooth, often in a single visit.
Broken / Fractured Tooth
Crown fractures, root fractures and crown-root fractures. Treated with bonding, onlays, crowns or root canal therapy depending on severity.
Bicycle & Cycling Accidents
A leading cause of dental trauma in London. We treat handlebar injuries, falls and collisions — including soft tissue lacerations and multiple tooth injuries.
Sports Injuries
Football, rugby, hockey, boxing, MMA, basketball — we treat sport-related dental trauma and provide custom-made mouthguards to prevent recurrence.
Concussion & Subluxation
Tooth jarred but not displaced (concussion) or loosened without displacement (subluxation). Monitored with vitality testing and follow-up.
Alveolar Bone Fractures
Fractures of the bone supporting the teeth, often from high-impact trauma. Reduced and splinted on-site with rigid stabilisation.
Soft Tissue Injuries
Lip, tongue, cheek and gum lacerations cleaned, sutured and managed alongside any associated tooth injury.
Paediatric Dental Trauma
Injuries to baby (primary) and developing adult teeth in children. Specialist gentle protocols and paediatric pain management.
Road Traffic Accidents
Multi-tooth injuries, jaw fractures and complex facial trauma — managed acutely with onward referral to maxillofacial when required.
Lost Crown, Filling or Veneer
Re-cementation or temporary restoration the same day to protect the tooth and restore appearance.
Knocked Out a Tooth? Do This Right Now
- Call us immediately on 020 8455 0465 — every minute matters.
- Pick the tooth up by the crown (the white part), never the root.
- Gently rinse with milk or saline if dirty — do not scrub or use soap.
- Re-insert the tooth into the socket if possible, and bite gently on a clean cloth.
- If you cannot re-insert it, store the tooth in milk, saliva, or a tooth preservation kit. Do not store in water.
- Come straight to the trauma centre — ideally within 30 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are you really open 24 hours?
Yes. A qualified dentist answers our phone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year — including Christmas Day. There is no answering service or call centre.
Do I need to be registered as a patient?
No. We treat walk-in trauma patients with no prior registration. Just call ahead so we can prepare for your arrival.
How much does emergency trauma treatment cost?
Emergency trauma appointments start from £35. Treatment costs are explained transparently before any work begins.
Can a knocked-out tooth always be saved?
The chance of saving a knocked-out (avulsed) tooth is highest within 30 minutes. After 60 minutes, success rates drop significantly. Adult teeth can sometimes be re-implanted up to several hours later — call us regardless of how long it has been.
Do you treat children with dental trauma?
Yes. We treat children of all ages with gentle, child-friendly trauma protocols. Note that knocked-out baby teeth are usually not re-implanted, but luxation and fracture injuries are still treated urgently.
